Frequently asked questions

The conversation we have with every client.

Every NIGGLASS shower enclosure is an individual solution, tailored to the specific space and your preferences. That is why the price is mainly calculated on a case-by-case basis, depending on the model, the dimensions, the choice of glass and hardware, and the location of the site.

For all our projects we use tempered safety glass and premium German hardware, selected with a focus on safety, precision and durability.

Glass: We offer clear glass, UltraClear, LUXCLEAR® (anti-limescale) with a protective coating, bronze, grey and progressive matte glass, as well as various decorative finishes. For glass railings we also work with laminated tempered glass (triplex), matched to the technical requirements of the specific project.

Hardware: We work exclusively with premium German hardware by Pauli + Sohn (zinc, brass or stainless steel), available in a range of colours and finishes — polished chrome, stainless steel, matte black, graphite, brushed and glossy gold. This lets us match every project both technically and visually to the client's individual requirements.

LUXCLEAR® is a special protective glass coating, applied industrially during production. It bonds permanently with the glass surface and protects it from corrosion caused by water and moisture, significantly reducing limescale build-up.

Unlike separately applied treatments and coatings, LUXCLEAR® is factory-applied and does not require periodic reapplication. Thanks to it, the glass is easier to clean and keeps its clarity and attractive appearance for longer.

No, a sloped ceiling is not an obstacle to a custom-made shower enclosure. The glass panels can be manufactured to an individual shape so that they follow the slope and the specific features of the room precisely.

During measuring we determine the exact slope angle, the heights, the levelling of the walls and floor, the hardware placement and the possible fixing points. Based on this, the shape and dimensions of each glass panel are designed and the appropriate installation method is chosen.

You receive a 5-year warranty on both the hardware and the installation carried out by NIGGLASS. If service is needed, we respond within 48 hours, and for up to a year after installation we carry out a free fine adjustment should one be required.

Consultation and design

We start with your inquiry and information about the project — photos, approximate dimensions and preferences. Once we understand the space and your requirements, we propose a suitable technical solution matched to your needs and lifestyle, after which we prepare an individual quote.

Precise measuring

After the quote is confirmed, we carry out a professional on-site measurement. We record the exact dimensions, levelling, angles and specific features of the space in order to prepare the project for production.

Made-to-measure manufacturing

Each piece of glass is manufactured individually to the measurements taken and according to the chosen configuration. We prepare the glass, the hardware and all the components needed for the specific project.

Installation

Our team carries out the professional installation with attention to every detail. After completion, we check the function, stability and overall execution of the finished solution.

The timeline depends on the specific project and the materials chosen. The usual lead time for manufacturing and installation is up to 45 working days, up to 60 working days for hardware from the colour range, and up to 70 working days for railings, counted from the deposit payment and the finalisation of the project.

Yes, we carry out projects across the whole country. The location of the site is taken into account when preparing the individual quote, which specifies the measuring visit, transport and the professional installation.

No. Approximate dimensions and photos of the space are enough for an initial quote, together with information about your preferred model, glass and hardware colour. After the quote is confirmed, our team carries out a precise on-site measurement. If the actual dimensions require a significant change, the quote is updated before the order is placed.

Yes. This is precisely one of the main advantages of a custom-made project. We can design a solution for niches, sloped ceilings, non-standard dimensions and other features of the room. During measuring, we record the actual dimensions, angles and level differences in order to choose the right configuration and fixing method.

Yes. Every project can be personalised to match the interior and your preferences. We offer various types of glass — clear, UltraClear, LUXCLEAR®, bronze, grey, progressive matte and other decorative options. Pauli + Sohn hardware is available in various colours and finishes, allowing the shower enclosure to blend harmoniously with the other elements in the bathroom.

To keep the glass looking flawless, we recommend regularly removing residual water and using suitable glass cleaning products.

For easier maintenance we also offer LUXCLEAR®, with a special factory-applied protective coating that protects the glass from corrosion caused by water and moisture and reduces limescale build-up.

It is important to avoid abrasive sponges and cleaning agents, metal or sharp objects, as well as strongly acidic or alkaline cleaning products, as these can damage the protective coating. LUXCLEAR® makes maintenance easier and protects the glass from corrosion and whitish deposits, but it is not a self-cleaning glass.

For glass railings we use laminated tempered glass (triplex), with the thickness and configuration determined according to the specific project and the chosen system.

In laminated tempered glass (triplex), two layers of glass are bonded together with interlayer films. This provides additional safety — if breakage occurs, the fragments stay attached to the film instead of the glass shattering freely.

Yes, when they are properly designed, sized and installed with the appropriate safety glass and fixing system.

Every project takes into account the dimensions and thickness of the glass, the fixing method and the specific features of the installation site. Using laminated tempered glass (triplex) provides a significantly higher level of safety compared to ordinary glass.

The different variants are tempered laminated glass made up of two layers of glass and two interlayer films. In 6.6.2 both layers are 6 mm each, while in 8.8.2 they are 8 mm each.

The exact thickness is not chosen based on the glass size alone — it is determined for each project according to the dimensions, the fixing method, the installation site and the technical requirements of the system used.
